Bupa said on 6 November that changes to its operating model will affect some roles within its digital team, and that no changes take effect until 7 December. It said affected staff have been offered the chance to explore other roles at Bupa, with redundancy packages for those who choose not to take one. A message on 5 November predicted 20% of the digital team would be impacted, and Bupa says the figure is 5%.

In October one person told us Bupa would announce cuts towards the end of that month, with a delivery office being folded and digital losing another 15%, and that the company was trying to go faster with AI and by outsourcing to India. On 4 November a message said whole teams would be impacted across five cities. On 5 November one person told us layoffs were happening right then.

We are making changes to our operating model to better align with how we are delivering for our customers to better meet their health needs now. These changes will affect some roles within our digital team.
We understand this is a difficult time for our people. These changes are not a reflection of their performance or contribution, and this is not a decision we have made lightly.
We have offered all impacted team members the opportunity to explore alternative roles within Bupa and are working closely with them to work through these options.
Redundancy packages will be available to those who choose not to take up an alternative role.
No changes will take effect until December 7, giving us time to work through redeployment opportunities with impacted team members.

Bupa layoffs happening right now, last restructuring was Nov 2025 and took months for things to go back to normal and after 8 months of normalcy we are restructured again. Bupa is a mega joke.
