KPMG's government work ban extended, with Canberra staff short of client work
More shit news for KPMG - the consulting business just received an invite for a 6pm meeting today, ‘recent announcements impacting our business’ Will be about Fed Gov and finance clients taking work away from us no doubt.

KPMG intel: a first round of redundancies will start next week. Largely focused on the Consulting practice.
Which seems especially fucked considering it was Audit that messed up but, it is what it is.

Couple of KPMG updates: • Staff across the Consulting, Deals Advisory, Tax & Legal, and Business Services divisions have not yet received their year-end performance ratings or FY27 remuneration discussions. It keeps getting pushed back - latest timeframe is “7 August - 13 August”. No doubt affected by the scandal and incoming redundancies etc. • Everyone in the Advisory business within Consulting has had a ‘Town Hall’ meeting come into the diary for this Thursday to allow the Advisory Partner in Charge provide an “update on our business”. Unsettling given the daily articles of the imminent redundancies to hit Advisory.

Wait until after the joint hearings and then it’s like the start of gladiator. All hell let loose . KPMG expecting 25% decrease in revenue assuming no more government restrictions. Worse if so .. No bonus and a 2.5% salary increase for a lot of client facing people (anyone with Effective performance or lower), despite CPI @ 3.8%

KPMG fed gov band extended till 28th Feb. Hinting at more changes, especially to Canberra office where many people are without client work. Directors also struggling without being able to bid/win work
