Canva Debuts AI-Powered Marketing Suite

Canva has unveiled Canva Grow 2.0, an AI-driven marketing automation platform, positioning it as a centrepiece of its product push at Cannes Lions.

The updated Canva Grow platform follows an initial release in October when Canva entered performance marketing by integrating with LinkedIn, TikTok and Meta to simplify ad publishing and analytics. Version 2.0 builds on MagicBrief, Canva's AI-powered advertising platform, and folds it into a broader workflow.

Marketers are now offered tools that connect creative production with automated distribution and unified performance tracking across major social and ad networks.

Product development around Canva Grow 2.0 is backed by a string of acquisitions over the past year, including Ortto, SimTheory, Doohly and Mango AI. Each of these automation platforms contributes different capabilities, from customer journeys to digital out-of-home and advanced AI analytics.

Canva plans to fuse these systems so brands can manage the full cycle of a campaign, from brainstorming assets through to publishing, measurement and ongoing optimisation. The company is turning its design ecosystem into a marketing operations hub that promises fewer handoffs between separate tools.

Industry observers note that this strategy moves Canva beyond being just a collaborative design app toward becoming a performance-focused marketing platform. Bringing creative, media execution and analytics into one environment is an attempt to compete more directly with established ad tech stacks.

For marketers, the appeal lies in collapsing fragmented workflows, although success depends on how seamlessly these acquired technologies integrate into a single, reliable product.
