Scyne Advisory
Anon pls - there was a restructure at Scyne Advisory this week with redundancies affecting mostly staff in the Infrastructure and Transformation teams in Canberra (principally) due to decrease in market demand for management consulting services. Number of people affected were no disclosed.

Myer
Hi there,
I’m a Head Office employee at Myer, where a mandatory five-day in-office working week has recently been announced.
I have some information I’d be interested in sharing anonymously, including:
·The PDF document provided to employees applying for flexible working arrangements, which I believe raises some serious concerns around discriminatory practices. I’m also considering referring this to the Fair Work Ombudsman.
·Further context that differs from what has been reported in the media. For example, Myer and Apparel Brands collectively have approximately 1,300 employees, yet there are only around 1,000 desks available across the business. It raises an obvious question about how a five-day office mandate is supposed to work in practice.
I have supporting documentation and further details available and would be happy to share these on an anonymous basis.
Look forward to hearing from you.

NAB
Correction, NAB haven't cancelled Xmas all functions but some divisional and subdiv level functions have been cancelled, encouraging business units to have their own and no change to the funding guidelines.
Not much to celebrate however given the orgchange, likely being the last time some colleagues would be seeing each other
Same as previous years, $50 a head with anything above that self funded
Anon- So nab has delayed all non voluntary redundancies until late jan after meeting with FSU.
FSU stating they agreed on gardening leave for that time. CEOs email stating “the date has been moved”
Also changed the closure of the consultation period to the 11th of nov.
Finalised dates to be announced tomorrow

Canva
Anon please. Canva to send redundancy comms 7am Wednesday morning. Planning to cut ~20%
Redunacies at Canva - 1,271 people, or 22% of Canva - can confirm this from email sent out this morning.
Also expected return to work 2-3 days a week for hybrid employees
Staff were told in the email if their role was was impacted or not
Made redundant from Canva - lots of people filthy that you get 6 months, but not your annual leave separately. So it's all rolled in together.
So like me, I have a month of leave, so my payout is 5 months plus my annual leave to hit 6 months. So mad about it, like just give me my leave you meanies.

Bupa said on 6 Nov 2026
We are making changes to our operating model to better align with how we are delivering for our customers to better meet their health needs now. These changes will affect some roles within our digital team.
We understand this is a difficult time for our people. These changes are not a reflection of their performance or contribution, and this is not a decision we have made lightly.
We have offered all impacted team members the opportunity to explore alternative roles within Bupa and are working closely with them to work through these options.
Redundancy packages will be available to those who choose not to take up an alternative role.
No changes will take effect until December 7, giving us time to work through redeployment opportunities with impacted team members.

Acenda
Acenda Life is making cuts across the business, not just operations. Some teams have been given only a couple of days for consultation, with changes expected to take effect by the end of November, just weeks before Christmas. They haven’t taken notice of NABs decision to delay their changes, or if they have, it’s to the extent it’s ignored.

Deloitte
Deloitte AU today ‘restructured’ their National Sales Office function, making 26% of roles redundant, 40% of which were Director level positions. This is inkeeping with previous redundancy rounds within Deloitte's Growth function which also heavily biased towards thinning out Director level roles. Some folks will be able to apply for newly created roles, though only a few exist. Austerity baby.
The company's Inside Track thread
Barings
Anon please. Barings has just abruptly enforced a 5-day return to the office without warning. This is a disruptive change for existing staff but they’ve also been on a huge hiring spree this year and marketed on the basis of flexibility. They’ve tried to enforce it under the radar without any formal comms because it’s clearly a disingenuous and dishonest shift in expectation. This is reflective of poor and inconsiderate decision-making by leadership. They are still actively recruiting, word of warning to others.
